Cut-It-Out! Technique- For a 69th Birthday Card

I've always consider my Mother-In-Law as the "old gentle gardener," sowing seeds of knowledge and act of kindness into the heart of every soul she comes in contact with.  So for her upcoming 69th birthday,  I thought this lovely Power Poppy-Flowering Branches digi would make a very lovely birthday gift for her.  Doesn't this stunning flower branch take your breath away?  It took me an hour to fine detail cutting it out.

The "Happy Bloomin' Birthday" sentiment from The Bloomin' Boots stamp set - Taylored Expressions works so beautifully with this stunning flower branch.

For my coloring guide, I used this strawberry and its flowers from my garden and colored with the following copic markers.

flowers: YG03, Y21, YOO, Y15, E0000, RV10, RV13
leaves: Y00, YG03
branch: E33, E47
berries: Y00, Y21, R23, R46

Other supplies I used:

Majestic Labels Eight - Spellbinders Nestabilities
Sizzix Big Shot machine
Finishing Touches "Magical Butterflies" - Creative Expressions
Circle dies - Spellbinders
Foam mounting tapes
Straight cut
Curve scissor
Craft knife
Elmer's Craft Bond Multi-purpose spray adhesive

PSST...There is a "Cut-It-Out" theme challenge happening right now on the Power Poppy blog which I am entering this card into.  The rules for this challenge is quite simple.  Just take any Power Poppy stamps, cut-it-out and add to your base card.  That's it.  Quite simple.

Other challenges I would like to enter this card into and for a chance to win:

Craft your passion: anything goes challenge #263
Crafting from the heart: always anything goes challenge #61

Thank you for stopping by!

Your card is STUNNING! I saw it featured in the Power Poppy newsletter and had to buzz over for a closer look. It. Is. GORGEOUS! Your card design is beautiful, so is your coloring, and your fussy cutting skills are very IMPRESSIVE! The way you've mounted this, it looks like the blooms are popping off the paper. The sentiment you've chosen is just perfect. So very beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

Oh, Christina, this is gorgeous! And I do love this image that you've colored so beautifully! And I so admire the work involved in fussy cutting (having a lot of it myself). But that was a lot of work and surely a work of heart for your sweet mother-in-law. She is going to love this!! Beautifully done in every way! Hugs!
