Tutorial | A Photo Album Mother's Day Card

5.08.2015

Hello friends! Hooray! It's FRIDAY! I usually don't get too excited for Friday since my weekend doesn't starts until Saturday afternoon when my kids' soccer games are over.  But I'm very excited today since Mother's Day is here and I can just leave EVERYTHING to my hubby!  Speaking of Mother's Day, this is my last Mother's Day design for the week until next May.

Say "hello!" to little Peggy, a Wee Stamps  by the very talented children's illustrator, Sylvia Zet.  Sylvia also has Peggy in digital as well.   I have the rubber stamp version and LOVE IT!  I combined Peggy with the Daffoldil Dell digi stamp from Make It Crafty to create this gorgeous, elegant photo album for my Mother-In-Law.  Unfortunately she'll have to wait until after Mother's Day to receive her gift since I just drop it off at the post office.

Here's what the inside looks like.  I used the Frame-in-Frame Cutting Plate from Taylored Expressions and mounted with clear mounting tape for added dimension.  Love it!

There's a unique extra touch to these pages...insert pages, allowing me to add extra photos in...how cool is that!!!  I created them quite by accident when adhesive the pages together.  As the saying go, many great inventions were created by accident.  I guess this is one of them! Grin.

My Mother-In-Law likes a CAS design (clean & simple).  So I kept it very simple with just a touch of elegant to the cover using Anna Griffin's Regal Braid embossing folder and add the oval window in the center using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Decorative Elements Die.   For the spine of the cover, I printed out "2015 Mother's Day" sentiment, cut using a banner dies and added braids to the ends for a decorative touch.

And that's a wrap of this sweet Peggy with Daffodil Dell photo album.

Have a lovely weekend everyone and a very Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and grandmothers out there!  Enjoy the beautiful weather.
