Dies Cut Back Drop

Good morning! Today is my last Guest Designer post over at Craft Your Passion.  I want to thank Lisa and her DT again for inviting me over to join them this month. It has been so much fun commenting and seeing all the gorgeous creations from so many amazingly talented crafty friends from all over the globe.

Today new challenge theme is "Anything Goes" and you can find all the details HERE.  Our lovely sponsor for this week is Deedee's Digis.

For my last Guest Designer card I have the pleasure of working with Deedee's Digis Greatest Joy,  Isn't this little mouse the cutest?  I colored her up with Copic markers and added in some grass and a few extra bubbles to finished up the scene.  The colors combo will be listed below.

I decided to play with my new C.C. Designs By DIEzyne Stitched Circles dies and from my stash Darice's bubble embossing folder to add some elements of fun and playfulness to my plain base card. Here is how I created it. It's very easy and great technique when you want to do a quick make-over of your base card or any layering.

1. Using Big Shot, embossed the lavender and blue cardstock with Darice's bubble embossing folder follow by die cutting with C.C. Designs By DIEzyne Stitched Circles dies.

2. To help guide the circles placement, I laid the mouse layer onto the base card and then simply slipped the circles on, trimming off any excess hanging out of the base card.

Here's what the base card looks like when removing the mouse layer:

Here's the Copic colors combo.  For the overall outfit, I simple dotted different colors dots on with the super brush tip of the markers.

skin tone: W00, W0, W2
cheeks-inner ear-tail: RV000, RV11
bubbles: B000, B91
Outfit: BV00, BV02, B05
Grass: Y000, YG03. G24

I chose this sentiment from the set because the card was for my 7 years old daughter.  She's such a joy to us, an amazing big sister and my awesome Mommy's little helper.  She also quite a little artist and just love having me leave her a little card every now and then.  She has a little keepsake box where she keeps all handcrafted gifts from us.  Must be taking after me. Ha-ha.

Thank you friends for stopping by and sharing your day with me.  I hope I've inspired you to pull out your dies and embossing folders and go create something beautiful!  Have a lovely Monday.  Hugs!
