Gone Fishing For The Boy Card

Hello friends. This month has gone by too quickly. Already we're in the last week of July and summer is nearly over. Hopefully you are having a lovely summer and perhaps a fun vacation getaway somewhere.

In much need of some quiet time to myself, I spend last week just coloring away. Needed a tranquil image to color up with, I grabbed for this rubber stamp image "Gone Fishing" from Lili of the Valley. Besides coloring or reading a good book, I find it calming and peaceful spending an afternoon just fishing and sitting by the water.

The image and the water were colored with Copic markers.   I decided to fill the sky with white clouds to separate from the blue of the water.  To create the gap between each cloud, I lightly dabbed robin egg blue distress ink on with an small sponge brush.

Copic colors combo

skin: E000, E00, E11, V95
hair: Y00, Y15,Y35
hat/boots: E50, E30, E31, E33, 35
coat: E50, E53, E35, E37
fishing rod/bopper: N0, N2, N4, R46, R89
water: B000, B95, B91, G12
grass/cliff: YG00, YG03, YG06, G24, G12, E50, E31, E33, E42

As I was inking this fishing boy up, I realized I have not yet participate in this month challenge over at Without Words Challenge blog.  Since my style is CAS,  Without Words is one that I try hard not to miss each month.  By coincidence, this image happened to fit perfectly for this month's color challenge which is to use predominately blue and brown.

Thank you friends for stopping by and perhaps share a thought or two with me.  It's always so nice to hear from you.  Have a lovely week friends.
