Corner Bookmarks and Cards Birthday Set

Greeting friends and followers! Today I am sharing two cute bookworm card and corner bookmark birthday sets using Dis Digi's adorable Book Worm Bear digital image.  They are for my two little bookworms who will be celebrating their birthday shortly after the New Year.  I usually start planning their birthday party around this time of year.  That way I don't get too stress out during this busy holidays season.

This plaid design set is for my little boy, who will be celebrating his 6th birthday.

The 2nd set, the butterflies design, is for the big sister, Catherine, the "little artist."  She will be celebrating her 8th birthday a week after him. I made her bookmark 1/2-inch larger than his, at 3x3.

Here's the corner bookmarks.

The inside of my boy's card. The birthday sentiment was created in Microsoft Word. Print and adhesive to the card. Then I slip the corner bookmark to the card. The sentiment around the Book Worm Bear is a passage from one of Dr. Seuss' book. I first created it into a digi. Then pulled it behind the image, resize, print, colored with Copics and then die cut with a stitched circle frame.

Supplies

Die cut: C.C. Designs' Stitched Circles, Lil' Inkers Dual Stitched Rectangle Frames
Dr. Seuss' circle sentiment digi - created by me, Christina (Memories Crafter)
Cardstock/Pattern Papers: from my stash
Copic Blending Paper
Copic Markers

This little Book Worm bear is so adorable!  But it wasn't easy trying to get him look all furry and cuddly.  I need some more practice.  The Copic markers combo I used on him for my boy's card was: E51, E53, E55 and E32.  For my daughter's card, I replaced the E32 with the E57 for a more golden color.

By the way, I am doing a giveaway which starts tomorrow, Tuesday December 1st until December 18th. Internationals are welcome. Please stop by on Tuesday for full detail. I'm linking both of my cards in the challenges below. Wishing you a lovely week.

This is a great idea! I'm sure they will love them! The paid is perfect but I have to say pink and butterflies are two of my favorite things. They are beautiful!

Love, love, love your cards. I'm not an expert at Copic coloring, but I'll say you did a fantastic job. Keep up the great work you are doing. Tell Catherine I said hello!

These are too cute Christina ... what a fun addition to a card. Once in a while I give gift cards to a bookstore... these would be a great little addition!
