A One Layer Birthday Card

Hello and a lovely Monday to you!  I hope your weekend was a good one and for many of the friends here in the US that were hit by the Winter Storm Jonas, I pray that you are safe and well.

I have a very quick clean and very simple card today using this handsome digital stamp image boy calls Henry Why Not from Crafty Sentiments. The balloon is actually part of a separate image from Wild Rose Studio called "Bunch of Balloons" and the gift box I made from leftover scrap pieces. Here I'm creating a birthday card for a classmate of my son. But you can use Henry for pretty much any occasion cards you have in mind.

 How The Card Made

I first cut and scored white heavy-weight cardstock to create this 5x5 square fold card.
To determine how large I need to resize Henry Why Not, I first stamped just the balloons portion of the Wild Rose Studio BUNCH of BALLOONS clear stamp which I purchased from Simon Says Stamp onto Copic blending paper.  Colored with copics, carefully cut out to the lines and measured.  The balloons image is approximately 3.5 inches in height.
Next, I opened up Microsoft Word (version 2013), pulled in Henry Why Not and resized him to 3.5 inches in height as well.  Print on Copic blending paper, colored him with copics and then cut him out. I used a craft knife to carefully cut around the inner part of his arms and fingers so I can slide the balloons and present in.
The present box was made by cutting out a piece of yellow cardstock and wrapped with stripes of green cardstock.
Finally, stamped on the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Fiskars Make A Wish Quotes clear stamp set with black Memento ink and adhesive the cut out  Henry Why Not with the balloons and present on.
Thanks so much for stopping by today friends.  If you have any questions on how to work with digital images in Microsoft Word, please send me an e-mail.  I'm happy to help and will try my best to answer your questions.

Thank you for taking the time to share your comment with me.  You've made my day!  Sending warm winter hugs and may you have a lovely and blessed new week.

As always I enjoy the way you share how you make the card. I'm going to try to see if I can do it as I have had that problem before and now I can figure it out too!!
