Heaven Sent Baby Card

Good Thursday morning!  I have a clean and simple baby card project to share with you today, made for a sweet friend who recently welcome a sweet new grandson to the family.

Baby cards

I used LOTV Heaven Sent (unmounted) rubber stamp set which came with this sweet baby sentiment, Sizzix Textured Impressions embossing folder Lattice, Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles Large Etched, and We R Memory Keepers Nesting Rectangles.

To start, I attached the embossed blue Lattice textured layer to the base card. To get the blue background of the Lattice textured, I applied the brayer's technique. This is a very easy technique. First, I coated the brayer very well with the Versa Magic's Pixie Dust ink. Then, opening the Lattice folder up, I rolled the ink onto only the inside COVER of the folder. Then, placed a piece of white cardstock on and embossed it through the Sizzix Big Shot machine.

The Heaven Sent baby image set is an unmounted rubber stamp.  In order to cling it onto the acrylic block, I attached a cling cushion to the back of the rubber.  I found the cling cushion on Amazon.com since LOTV does not sell one.  I stamped the image and sentiment onto Neenah (80 lb) paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with copic markers.  Then I cut the image out with the Nesting Rectangles and punched out the sentiment with the Nestabilities Standard Circles Large Etched.  The sentiment was first attached directly onto the Lattice textured layer with craft glue.  Then to frame it, I attached the image layer over it with foam dots.

I would like to share my baby card in this week challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (Anything Goes).

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  May you have a lovely Thursday!
