A Hedgehog's Sending Holiday Hugs | Cards for Little Hearts Card Drive Winter-Holiday 2017

Hello and happy Monday.  My project for today is a simple holiday card featuring a sweet slid riding little hedgehog from the Penny Black's Christmas Joy stamp set.

This post is also part of the Cards for Little Hearts Card Drive.  The purpose of the current card drive is to collect handmade winter wishes and/or holiday wishes cards for the Heart Center staff to distribute to children with congenital heart disease and to help lift their spirits during their stay at Nationwide Children's Hospital Cardiac Unit this winter holiday season.  I hope you will be able to join me in this heartwarming cause.  For the complete details about the card guidelines (with lots of prizes to giveaway), please visit my Card Drive page.

It's amazing what a little white pen can do to an image!  After finished coloring this sweet little hedgehog with Copic, I randomly flicked on some white quills to give it a fuller look.  Then, I ran a thin coating of clear Wink of Stella over the gift boxes, slid and mitten.

Next, I extended the snowy hill behind the slid with the muti-liner and rubbed over with the white Nuvo glitter drops.

The sentiment is from the Mama Elephant's Jingle Greetings set, stamped with Lawn Fawn's Black Licorice ink.  Then die cut out with the MFT Zig Zag Stitched rectangle STAX Die-namics.

I wanted this card to be bright and cheerful.  So I chose the Bazzill Marshmallow Chick for my A2 base card.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.   I hope that you will be able to join me and help bring some joy and smiles to the many children that will be spending time at Nationwide Children's Hospital Cardiac Unit as their second home this winter holiday season.

The deadline to send in cards is August 25th.  Please be sure to read the card's guidelines carefully before preparing your cards.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to e-mail me directly.  Thank you.

May you have a blessed day.  Take care.
