Thinking of You Winter Hedgehog | Cards for Little Hearts Card Drive Winter-Holiday 2017

thinking of you winter holiday card hedgehog

Hello!  I pray that your week is going well.   Today I'd like to share a winter wishes card, featuring the same Penny Black's Christmas Joy hedgehog from earlier this week.  I did not get a chance to do a video of this card.  But I am planning to do a Copic coloring tutorial of this little sweet hedgehog.  So stay tune for that video :)

This post is also part of the Cards for Little Hearts Card Drive.  I hope you will be able to join me in this heartwarming cause.  The current card drive runs until August 25th with winter wishes or holiday wishes theme.  For the complete details about the card guidelines (with lots of prizes to giveaway), please visit my Card Drive page.

THINKING OF YOU WINTER HEDGEHOG

This little hedgehog is just too cute!  I couldn't resist but to ink him up again and make another card with him.

I colored him the same as I did for the first card but changed the mitten's color.  Also, unlike the first card, I did not extend the snowy hill behind the slid nor did I coated the snow with the Nuvo glitter drops.

Instead, after finished coloring him with Copic and flicked on extra quills (with white gel pen), I brushed a thin coat of clear Wink of Stella all over his quills, presents, mitten, slid and the snowy hill.

Next, I used the Simon Says Stamp Hand Lettered Winter Wishes set to stamp on the "thinking of you" sentiment (in Black Licorice), the background snowflakes (in Soft Pool) and a candy cane stripe border (in Love Letter).  I absolutely love the beautiful font scripts and versatility of this Hand Lettered Winter Wishes stamp set!

I thought the card could use a little more sparkles.  So before adhering to the Easter Grass card panel, I brushed a thin coat of red Wink of Stella over the candy cane border.  Then mounted everything onto the A2 Neenah Solar White card base.

Here are the Copic colors I used.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and for taking the time to share your thoughts with me.  I appreciate and enjoy reading every single one of them.  May you have a blessed day.  Take care.

This hedgehog is so super cute and you have colored him wonderfully! This is such a fantastic card.

Oh! I just re-read your card drive page and noticed the cards cannot say Merry Christmas. I don't know how I missed seeing that last time... 😅
