Hello!  For today’s card tutorial, I am sharing how to quickly add stunning winter background to your winter & holiday cards with any winter die cut cover plate panel.  On my set of two holiday cards (which I made for heart patients), I am using the Snowflake Panel die set along with the Mini Holiday Hello, Mini Merry Chris-Moose stamp sets from Your Next Stamp.

This post is also part of the current Cards for Little Hearts’ Winter & Holiday Cards CollectionThis collection will end promptly on November 1st.  Please consider participating.  For the complete card guideline and mailing address, please visit Cards for Little Hearts’ website.

Die Cut Snowflake Panel with Mini Holiday Hello & Merry Chris-Moose

Both the Mini Holiday Hello and Mini Merry Chris-Moose stamp sets also have coordinating die set.  But since I only purchased the stamp sets. I fuzzy cut them out before mounting them to the  Snowflake Panel with foam tape.

SUPPLIES: (stamps) Your Next Stamp’s Mini Holiday Hello, Mini Merry Chris-Moose (die cut) Your Next Stamp’s Snowflake Panel (cardstock) Bazzill’s Marshmallow, Robin’s Egg and Marshmallow Chick; Neenah Solar White (tools) coloring medium of choice (I used copic markers with white prismacolored pencil for highlight), Sizzix Big Shot; cutting pads; paper trimmer; craft scissor (adhesive) foam tape; 1/4″ double-sided tape, double-sided adhesive sheets

DIRECTION:

  1. Create A2 size card base (4-1/4″x5-1/2″) on Robin’s Egg and Marshmallow Chick.
  2. Adhere double-sided adhesive sheet to one side of Marshmallow cardstock.  Flip over and die cut out the snowflake panel. TWICE (one for each card).
  3. Using the snowflake panel die as a guide, trace out two panels – one on Robin’s Egg.  Second on Marshmallow Chick.  Adhere them to the back of each Marshmallow snowflake panel.  Then, adhere to each card front.
  4. Stamp and color the images.  Fuzzy cut and mount them to the snowflake panel.
  5. Stamp on the sentiment.
