Hello crafters! I’ve promised you an update on the final count of Cards for Little Hearts’ 2018 winter-themed and holidays card collection. Today’s the day! Thanks to the continuing support and kindness of so many of our fellow crafty friends, both here in the U.S. and abroad, this holidays season we will be able to bring cheers to 735 children that are heart patients at Nationwide Children’s Hospital Heart Center and The University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Both located right here in my beautiful hometown of Ohio! What an astonishing turnout once again and I truly cannot say “Thank You” enough to each of you that participated. From the bottom of my heart, Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
Upcoming Card Collections
January 1st – January 31st: Heart-Themed cards. These are cards with heart designs, but using general sentiments. Please do not put “Happy Valentine’s” as the cards will be use for the entire month of February in celebration of Heart month.
January – November: General cards that can be use all year round.
In closing, I would like to say…
In this season of thanks and giving, there are so much that I am grateful and so thankful for. Two years ago, on this Thanksgiving Day, wanting to bring some holiday cheer to heart patients at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, I decided, with the assistance of several fellow crafters, launch my first card drive right here from my blog with the winter-themed & holiday card collection and Cards for Little Hearts (formally known as Hug a Heart) was founded.
Here we are, 2 years later. Because of the continuing support and kindness I received from crafters all around the globe, Cards for Little Hearts now operates under its own domain name, expanded to 3 different collections year round and bringing smiles to hundreds of hearts patients at not just one, but two hospitals here in Ohio! What a remarkable journey this has been thus far. I would like to take a moment to thank each crafter that have participated with us this past years for your tremendous support and kindness. We truly could not do this without you. Thank You so much for allowing us the joy and privilege of sharing your beautiful creations and your kindness with so many heart patients!
I am also very grateful and thankful for all my blog’s readers. You are the reason that make blogging fun and encourage me to keep on blogging new tutorials. Especially during months when I feel too exhausted to blog trying to balance between the hectic schedule of life with 3 young kiddos and organizing Cards for Little Hearts. So thank you for being here, for your time and for being YOU. I hope you enjoyed the tutorials I have for you thus far and look forward to sharing many more with you in the coming months.
From my family and all the Heart Center staff, we wish you and your love ones a very Happy Thanksgiving. May God’s blessings fill your home and heart during this happy holiday season.
