Ink Pads & Markers Holders – Ways to Use Them
I started crafting in 2006. Over the year, as my skill developed and grows, so are the number of ink pads, markers, and specialty pens I come to own. Like many of you, I struggle to find a good solution to organizing them and would get so frustrated when I wasted my money from making duplicate purchases because I couldn’t find the items! Well, that all changed when I discovered Stamp-N-Storage last year. Not only can I now easily find each item, but I was also shocked at the number of duplicate ones I have!
Here are the markers and ink pads holders I purchased and how I am using them. Starting from the bottom shelf…
- Petite Ink Pad Holder: (bottom shelf, right-hand side) for the distress ink pads
- Marker Nook: (bottom shelf, left-hand side) for wood-mount stamps, acrylic blocks, and Lawn Fawn stamp shammy.
- Stacked Marker Holder: (2nd shelf, left-hand side) for Copic markers, refills, multiliners, Sharpie, pens, and pencils
- Side-by-Side Marker Holder: (2nd shelf, far right) for the Wink of Stella, glitter pens, and water-based markers
- Slim Ink Pad Holder: (top shelf). This holder holds 120 ink pads. It is the perfect solution to all my ink pads and a perfect fit for my built-in bookshelf!
Paper Storage Solution
Above are the 8.5×11 Max for Ikea paper holders that I just purchased back in October. I just replaced a new base for my craft tabletop with the Ikea Kallax shelf unit and these paper holders fit into the cubes perfectly, allowing me to not only keep my paper laying flat but, also within arms reach. I painted them white to match the Kallax unit. It took me two days but, it worth it in the end. TIPS: Make sure to use a primer first. Otherwise, the wood grain will still show through. Also, do NOT paint the edges of each divider or you will not be able to slide it back in.
Punches and 6×6 Paper Holders
I also invested in the Whale Tail punch holder to store my small collection of punches and paper punchers. For my 6×6 paper pads storage, I invested in the 6×6 paper holder and place each pad in the paper sleeve. I selected the Ikea size option for both holders. If you are looking for 8×8 and 12×12 size, Stamp-N-Storage carries those as well. Both in standard and for Ikea shelf units. For both holders, I painted them white to match my Kallax shelving unit.
